A Modular Appproach Can Improve PUE

Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE) is for Frank Brank, Managing Director von ICTroom, an important factor for the cooling of a data centres. The Sittard-Geleen data centre in the south of the Netherlands has been built by ICTroom for the Belgian cloud services provider Cegeka, and has a design PUE of 1.14. It includes also the Air2Air cooling system from DencoHappel (formerly GEA Air Treatment), which helps to reduce the cooling system's energy consumption by up to a factor of seven.
