Netherlands-based IT group Cegeka has opened a data center in the Dutch city of Geleen, built within four months by modular specialist ICTroom. The data center was equiped with our DencoHappel Adia-DENCO cooling system.
The €10m Tier III data center has a predicted power usage effectiveness (PUE) of 1,14, with a cold aisle temperature of 25°C. There are four physically separated dark fiber connections to the site which has two power feeds, with a 2(N+1) redundant UPS setup (N+1 per feed). There are 120 racks, each one 50U high, in a 320 sq m computer room.

Indirect free cooling in combination with adiabatic humidification – this is the principle of the Adia-DENCO cooling system. This system, which has been especially developed for data centers, is based on the design of the well-proven CAIR air-handling units. It offers rated air flows up to 55,000 m³/h and cooling duties over 300 kW. The design is flexible and tailored to your application. The extremely low annual operating costs of the Adia-DENCO cooling system enable its amortization after a short period.
