Each heat recovery system is to be selected according to four criteria: operation, maintenance, application and available space.
The efficiency of a heat recovery system then again depends on:

▬The heat transfer surface of the heat exchanger
▬The flow ratio between supply and extract air
▬The geometry of the heat transfer surface (plate or fin distance or heat wheel profile)
▬The relative humidity of the extract air
