ECOSTAT Heat pipes
Principle and Operation
With this type of heat recovery system the heat transfer takes place through an intermediary medium (refrigerant R134a). The refrigerant evaporates at the extraction side and extracts the evaporation heat from the extraction air. The gaseous refrigerant rises in the tube towards the supply side where it condenses and transfers the condensation heat to the supply air. Afterwards the liquid refrigerant falls back in the capillary structure.
